Eighty-thousand acres of open range, creek meadows, and canyons constitute the latest addition to Bartlett Ranch. After an extensive search for just the right piece of property in the western United States, an expansive spread in southeastern Wyoming was acquired in 1998.
Situated in a 10-mile-wide by 40-mile-long swath, this property offers spectacular vistas, abundant water, and plentiful sheltered meadows. Today we produce commercial cattle and many ranch horses each year.
This ranch is also the site of our annual colt starting clinic, taught and managed by Bill and Carol Smith. Cheyenne, Wyoming with its famous annual Frontier Days is only an hour away.
This ranchland's former occupants include the Sioux & Arapaho, the legendary Tom Horne, Swan Land & Cattle Company, and The Pony Express. It's current occupants include a whole cadre of cowboys and ranch hands from the local area and abroad, abundant wildlife resources, several thousand head of cattle, and several hundred horses.
