Bartlett Ranch, headquartered in Pike Road, AL for over 40 years is a collection of working ranches owned by Dr. “Woody” Bartlett. Bartlett Ranch offers rigorously trained geldings, yearlings, colts and fillies for sale. Dr. Bartlett’s knowledge of animals and expertise in training is the driving force behind Bartlett Ranch’s success. The passion of his late wife, Kelley Bartlett is woven throughout ranches located in Alabama, Texas and Wyoming. Her presence is felt in every horse event from cuttings to clinics, as well as the ornate furnishings and philosophy of running the ranches.
Bartlett Ranch has a history of training champion cutting horses and dependable ranch horses. Alabama is home to the NCHA champion stallion “Handlebar Doc” and the late “Quick Henry,” AAA-AQHA Champion and money-earner on the track. Handlebar Doc is the only World Champion son of Doc Bar. He was the 1983 NCHA Open World Champion, is a member of the NCHA Hall of Fame, Platinum Award winner and earner of $182,000 in NCHA. He has sired 53 AQHA point-earners and 92 money-earners with total earnings in excess of $1,000,000. As aforementioned, he is by Doc Bar and out of Camelot Clabber. Crossed with our ranch mares, his easy-going foals show cow and speed.
Foundation sires include: Quick Henry, Handle Bar Doc, Preferred Pay, Royals Diligents, and Very Special Playgun.
Bartlett Ranch does not stand any stallions to the public. However, their offspring are available for purchase at the WYO Quarter Horse Sale each Spring and Fall.
